How It All Started
Inspired by PINEUT in The Netherlands we started to dream about setting up a Non-Profit business to create jobs and support families in our community.
We have built a production environment in Hermanus, where our people can be their best self and as a team create a beautiful product.
We want to make a difference with our products. We spend time and care in selecting the right suppliers. Where possible we endeavour to purchase herbs and spices that stimulate local businesses and farms.

Lift Life Trust
SALU operates under the Lift Life Trust, a registered non-profit organization (NPO). What this means is that all the profits that we earn go directly back into supporting our communities in the Overstrand area. We are dedicated to making a meaningful impact through the following initiatives:
Supporting the development of young South African leaders through the Volmoed Youth Leadership Training Programme (VYLTP).
Our efforts contribute to the education of children with learning disabilities and special needs at Camphill School.
We assist students from disadvantaged areas who need a boost to achieve their dreams through Sparkle Kids.
